After a great weeping and gnashing of teeth, Tym finally bit the bullet and was dragged kicking and screaming into the enchanted world of FACEBOOK! Let it be known unto all the inhabitants of this much-heralded land (Facebookians?) that this decision weighed heavily upon Tym's brow for many moons. So,undoubtedly, it will be with great fanfare that the gentle and diverse Facebookians will wish to welcome the newest minstrel into their kingdom. Amen! Oh, and Tym expressed this personal plea be forwarded, "Be... gentle.. with me."

Tym played two lengthy and brilliantly executed sets last weekend at Hidden Treasures. The first set was a 2 hour extravaganza of all original songs. As promised, Tym worked his way through songs dating back as far as 1983 to more recently written works including several great songs that he had never played live. The second set also clocked in at around 2 hours and consisted of all covered material from some of his favorite singer/songwriters. Tym provided listeners with his renditions of songs by John Denver, Dan Fogelberg, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, POCO, Al Stewart, Cat Stevens, Joni Mitchell, Jewel, Eric Clapton, John Lennon, and others. If you were not able to make it to either show, you certainly missed a plethora of stellar performances! More dates are in the works for late Summer and Fall, so visit the website frequently or go to the Mailing List/Contact page and sign up to be automatically contacted with any updates.

Tym wil be performing at the Chamber of Commerce sponsored grand opening of Hidden Treasures on Saturday, July 31st. To make this event's performances special and unique, Tym will be departing from his usual format. His first set, which will begin at 2:00 p.m., will consist of all original material and he promises to dust off some oldies and include songs never before performed live. The second set will begin at 4:00 p.m. and will consist solely of cover tunes. You will not want to miss either of these sets, so plan on attending both! Tym will be performing Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the grand opening of Hidden Treasures. He will play 3 one hour sets from 1:00-2:00, 3:00-4:00, and 5:00-6:00. Hidden Treasures is located at 147 River Street, which is off Frazier Avenue near the carousel at Coolidge Park and next to the Whipped Cupcake and under Clumpy's Ice Cream. The store will be owned and operated by Chris and Kathy Schniering and will be a great new addition to the North Shore area of businesses. Chris is a local photographer and they will be selling his and other local artists and crafters' works. Chris and Kathy also have a booth at the Chattanooga Market every Sunday. Happy Valentine's Day! It's been a long time coming, but the website is finally being put together. Please be patient, as this is all very new and it will be slow going for a while with a lot of changes being made quite frequently. There will certainly be substantial challenges along the way to creating the website to the standards and perfection that will compliment the music and artistry of Tym Priest, so your indulgence will be greatly appreciated.
There is an abundance of exciting news in regards to the very near future, so stay tuned and check back often. There are several projects that are very near completion and even more in the works. Check the MERCHANDISE page for further details. One of the most exciting announcements is that Tym is planning to begin working with Eddie in order to produce the long-awaited CD releases of the infamous and legendary Johnny Nowhere material from the 1980's and 1990's. Who knows what else might transpire from this collaborative reunion?!
Tym is planning to perform extensively in the Spring, Summer and Fall of 2010. The website will be updated immediately with details as performance dates are confirmed.
